The transition to color is strange for me. I'm used to doing all my art in simple pencil, so the going tends to be slow. I've done paintings, usually humongous acrylic monstrosities, and a few small watercolors. My style with paint is completely different from my style with drawing and my digital style seems to be a mesh of the two. So far I'm liking what I'm doing, but know I'm going to need to work on my skill.
I'm using Corel Painter Essentials 2, since it came with my tablet, primarily for my drawings here. It came with Photoshop Elements 3.0 also, but I haven't figured out how to use it to my liking yet.
While I'm working on my drawings, I usually post on Twitter as I go along, kind of as a progress report, and kind of to detail my work process, cause three year olds just don't have the conversational skills to discuss art, beyond "that's a fish! What's his name, Mom?"
